What Really Matters: Our Mother Daughter Date Night
Sometimes we forget that the best times and memories are created in the simplest of ways. I was reminded of that yesterday. A friend and I took our daughters to the mall for a mother-daughter date night. For about $20:
We rode the escalator,

We tasted bubble tea,
We played with makeup,
We dressed up,
We held hands,
We giggled,
We saw the future,
We hugged.
All it really required was slowing down (we can fold those four baskets of laundry tomorrow and the twitter party will be there again next week), saying no (to an awesome women’s meeting at church) and intentionally investing in one of the most important relationships I have. No regrets. There’s enough time in the world if we put what matters first.
Blessings!

Did she like the bubble tea, or was she miffed at having to stop drinking to get her picture taken?
Oh, she’s always ready to have a picture taken. She looks like that because she did not like the tapioca in the bubble tea one bit! LOL.
