Errand days are my most favorite days. They don’t happen often, maybe once every 3 to 6 months. The rest of the time, my husband does it all (he drives, I don’t, he doesn’t want to lug the kids). LOL … my outings are huge treats to us! But if I’m out with Dh or MIL – we’ll be home by 4pm, and we just keep going until bedtime.
But on rare occasions, I go out with my sister, and those outings can last from 8am until we close the stores to nearly midnight. Usually this is back to school shopping or Black Fridays.
Dh usually runs just a few errands at a time. I give him a list, and he maps it out, and comes home when he feels like it. He usually includes a 2 hour layover at the air conditioned library and skips half of the list as not important. (Today he skipped – Visit Mamaw in the hospital). But he DID bring me home a stack of paper sacks for our church craft on Sunday!!!
I agree, going out with a friend or sister to run errands would probably make a huge difference to my attitude LOL. Then it would be a girls’ day out and not work!
Christian, Wife, Mother, Writer, Speaker. My greatest joy and passion is seeing marriages and families growing in God's grace, God's Word and in love toward each other.
I have been married to my best friend for 14 years and we have 2 amazing children.
